Pearly Whites

I’m on an escalator to Heaven

Heading towards the Pearly Gate

I can’t believe I overdosed

On mouthwash and toothpaste

 

My dentist alone will miss me

He always loved my teeth

But I hope he don’t regret he

Always made me brush daily

 

Cause now I’m going from pearly whites

And I’m going from gold fillings

To pearly gates and golden streets

From dental floss to silver strings

And sweets!  I’m happy with the site!

 

I’m happy in this place

I’m happy with my teeth

I don’t even gotta brush ‘em

To keep them clean

 

I’m happier on these stairs

Than I was with the lease

On the almighty toothbrush

That had given me peace.

 

Cause now I’m going from pearly whites

And I’m going from gold fillings

To pearly gates and golden streets

From dental floss to silver strings

And sweets!  I’m happy with the site!

 

That I see

Laid all out in front of me

As I’m rising up and walking in

Leaving the plaque I had stripped away

As if it were my sin

What a glorious day
